As the days get longer and the temperature rises, we often feel the urge to do a little spring cleaning in our homes. But what about our bodies? Just like our living spaces, our internal “house” can benefit from a good seasonal reset. Spring is the perfect time to focus on detoxing and rejuvenating our health, especially as our bodies naturally release stored fats and toxins. In the spring, our bodies start to release stored fat from the winter into the lymphatic and circulatory systems. If not managed properly, this can lead to blood congestion and stagnation, puffy skin, loss of appetite, heavier menstruation, and allergies. This release of fats in preparation for spring may also cause stagnation and congestion in the liver and gallbladder. Gallbladder attacks tend to increase in early spring. Why does this happen? Because spring is when our liver and gallbladder detoxify from the heavy, rich foods consumed during winter to keep warm. Over time, if the liver becomes congested due to toxins, stress, or a poor diet and elimination, bile in the gallbladder can become thick and congested. It’s crucial to understand our unique constitutions and live seasonally, in harmony with our Creator's design, to maintain our health and vitality.

An effective way to help your body transition smoothly through spring is by undergoing an Ayurvedic cleanse, which is designed to reduce the digestive load and aid the body in releasing the toxic buildup from winter.
